Packet Pick-Up

There are 3 options for picking up your race packet. A photo ID and bib number are needed to pick up your race packet.

Option 1

Pick up your race packet in person prior to the race at:

Friday, June 21 (4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.)
Saturday, June 21 (12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.)

Option 2

Have a friend or family member pick up your race packet for you (by presenting a copy of your photo ID and bib number) prior to the race at Road Runner Sports (location, dates, and times listed above).

Option 3

Race Day Packet Pick-Up. For $10 per race packet, you can pick up your race packet on race day before the event at the Information tent from 6:30 a.m. – 7:45 a.m. You can sign up for this service during the registration process.

Please note only those who register for Race Day Packet Pick-Up will be able to pick up their race packet on race day.

Race Day

On race day, be sure to allow enough time to check in (e.g., parking, gear check, etc.) before your start time. We recommend participants arrive at least 45 minutes before the start of the race.

Parking & Transportation

Public transportation is highly recommended. Please visit the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) website at or the Metra website at to determine the best route of travel via public transportation.

Limited paid parking is available at the following locations:

Grant Park North Garage – 25 N Michigan Avenue
Grant Park South Garage – 325 S Michigan Avenue
Millennium Park Garage – 5 S Columbus Drive

Gear Check

Gear check will be available at the race site.


All participants will receive free race day photos from Gameface Media. Photos will be available the week following the race and emailed to all participants.


The top three overall male and female finishers will receive awards.

Weather Policy

The Chicago 10K will take place rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, we reserve the right to delay, postpone or cancel the event. All registrations are nonrefundable and nontransferable.

All participants will receive an official Chicago 10K shirt, finisher medal, bib number, free race photos, and a B-Tag ChronoTrack timing device with their entry.

Course Details


10K (6.2 miles)

Start Location

Grant Park – Arvey Field (Arvey Field is NE of the S Columbus Drive & E Roosevelt Road intersection)


The Chicago 10K will feature the B-Tag Chronotrack timing system. All participants will receive a B-Tag timing device with their bib number.

Course Time Limit

Participants must maintain a 15:00 mile pace and complete the race in 1 hour 30 minutes. Please note your official time does not begin until you cross the start line.
