All registrations are nonrefundable and nontransferable.

Packet Pick-Up

There are 3 options for picking up your race packet. Your QR code from your confirmation email is needed to pick up your race packet.

Option 1

Pick up your race packet in person prior to the race at:

Saturday, June 29 (12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.)

Option 2

Have a friend or family member pick up your race packet for you by presenting your QR code prior to the race (location, dates, and times listed above).

Option 3

Race Day Packet Pick-Up. For $10.00 per race packet, you can pick up your race packet on race day before the event from 6:45 a.m. – 7:45 a.m. You can sign up for this service during the registration process.

Please note only those who register for Race Day Packet Pick-Up will be able to pick up their race packet on race day.
Race Day

On race day, be sure to allow enough time to check in (e.g., parking, gear check, etc.) before your start time. We recommend participants arrive at least 45 minutes before the start of the race.

Grant Park – Arvey Field (Arvey Field is NE of the S Columbus Drive & E Roosevelt Road intersection)

Parking & Transportation

All participants are strongly encouraged to carpool or use public transportation to the race site. If you drive, please allow sufficient time for heavy traffic and street closures due to the race.

Gear Check

Gear Check will be available at the race site.

Photos

All participants will receive free race day photos from Gameface Media. Photos will be available the week following the race and emailed to all participants.

Awards

The top three overall male and female finishers will receive awards.

Weather Policy

The Chicago 10K will take place rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather (e.g., lightning), race officials reserve the right to delay, postpone or cancel the event. All registrations are nonrefundable and nontransferable.
Swag

All participants will receive a Chicago 10K shirt, finisher medal, bib number, and free race photos with their entry.

Timing

The Chicago 10K will feature the B-Tag Chronotrack timing system. All participants will receive a B-Tag timing device with their bib number.

Course Time Limit

All participants must maintain a 15:00 minute per mile pace or faster.

Weather Policy

Weather Policy

The Chicago 10K will take place rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather (e.g., lightning) or other conditions that may affect the safety and health of participants, race officials reserve the right to delay, postpone or cancel the race. All registrations are nonrefundable and nontransferable.

Lightning Policy

In the event of lightning, the race will be postponed 30 minutes if lightning is detected within a 10 mile radius. Additionally, every time lightning is detected within a 10 mile radius, the 30 minute timing increment will restart.

Refund Policy

All registrations are nonrefundable and nontransferable. No exceptions. As with all events, proceeds from the event are used to cover the numerous nonrefundable pre and post-race expenses required to produce the event (e.g., city permits, park district permits, medical personnel, police and traffic control, security, participant shirts, finisher medals, bib numbers, timing chips, equipment rental, participant food and refreshments, tents and staging, event staff, signage, event supplies, portable restrooms, etc.).
